Galleri Emilie is a combination of an art gallery, frame shop, and artist's studio, located by the Suolatori market square in the old town of Loviisa.

 

The gallery is run by me, Mimosa Elo, a photographer and darkroom enthusiast with steady roots in this small town in Finland. My mother, painter Kristina Elo also has her studio in the same space. 

 

Emilie was the name of my great-great-grandmother, and story has it she was the kindest person you ever met. My childhood home was named Villa Emilie after her, and I hope this warm welcoming feeling is what gallery visitors experience when they step through the door.

I am also available for commissions regarding interior, still life, and portrait photography – as well as various layout projects such as book design.
